Barrie is an expert in surfactant formulation and technology who inherited his passion for chemistry from his father, Bob Ainscow. He began his career at Mazer Chemicals in the USA, followed by roles at PPG and Struktol, and later spent several years working in China. Over the past four decades, he has built deep expertise in surfactant chemistry, particularly in the manufacture of anionic and nonionic surfactants, formulation of finished products and application testing across a wide range of uses.

Cician grew up in China, where she obtained a medical degree and developed resilience and adaptability through her clinical training at a leading hospital in Shanghai. In 2017, she established Sainsland, a Chinese company focusing on international trade and logistics. Exposure to contractual disputes and liability challenges led her to study law and apply it to commercial matters. Her combination of cross-cultural insight, legal knowledge and import-export experience brings a strong practical dimension to the team.
